10 Effective Home Remedies for Pimples

Pimples are not only a problem that haunt teenagers but are also common amongst adults as well. Not only do pimples look unsightly and embarrassing but they can be painful in certain cases too. Often, a pimple can leave bad scars on your skin.

Home remedies are a safe and effective way of curbing the appearance of pimples while maintaining beautiful and flawless skin.


Fenugreek Seed

Fenugreek seeds are a great way to cleanse and disinfect your skin and get rid of pimples. Take a handful of fenugreek seeds and grind them with a few drops of water. When the paste reaches a thick consistency, apply it all over your face and wherever you have pimples and keep it overnight. Wash off the dried paste the next morning with lukewarm water.

Cucumber

Although cucumber is generally considered to be a great natural astringent, it is also effective for many people who have to deal with pimples. Simply grate a fresh juicy cucumber and rub your face gently with it. It will cleanse and purify your skin and help fight the occurrence of pimples.

Lemon

Lemon is a natural ingredient with numerous benefits for your skin. Squeeze some fresh lemon juice and apply it on your pimples with a cotton ball.

Neem Paste

Neem is an excellent natural remedy for your skin as it has anti bacterial properties. Make a paste of fresh neem leaves and add a pinch of turmeric to it. 

Mix it well and apply it all over the pimples and leave it for half an hour to 45 minutes before washing it off.

Orange Peel Paste

Orange peel is also considered a good home remedy for pimples. Scrub off some rind from an orange and then make it into a paste along with a few drops of water or even by using a few drops of rose water. Apply this mixture generously on the skin breakouts and wash with a mild herbal face wash after half an hour.

Steam Therapy

Pimples are often a result of infection caused due to accumulation of germs and dirt and a steam therapy helps open the pores and lets the pus and germs flow out. Boil a pot of water and lower your head towards the pot and cover your head with a towel so that the steam does not escape.

Your skin pores will be opened and the impurities will flow out. Cleanse your skin with rose water and rinse it with a face wash. Try taking a steam therapy once in two weeks for a clear and clean skin free from pimples.

Pomegranate Peel

Take the peel of the pomegranate fruit and make a paste of the peel with a few drops of lemon juice and apply this on your pimples.

Fuller’s Earth

Fuller earth is a great natural remedy for pimples and acne. Buy some good quality fullers earth and make a thick paste with some rose water and apply it all over your face like a mask. Keep it till it dries and then rinse off gently to be left with visibly clearer skin and free from pimples.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera is extremely gentle on your skin and great against pimples. Extract fresh aloe vera gel and apply it over the pimples and keep it on overnight. Do it regularly for freedom from pimples!

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is a great remedy for people with oily skin. Apply some tea tree oil over your pimples as it has anti bacterial properties that will control the thriving of germs beneath the surface of your skin.
