Sweating Through Clothes Problem

Sweating is a normal human phenomenon. It is the body’s own way of cooling the body temperature and bringing it to normal. However, sweating, at times can pose a big problem and can even land you in an embarrassing situation.

Sweating through clothes problem can cause you a lot of embarrassment at work, meetings, dates and other important functions. It can cause body odors, stain your clothing and create an uncomfortable situation. As a result of which it will hinder your self confidence and proper sociability.

Though sweating cannot be completely prevented but there are some things which could be done to control and prevent it to show then it is needed.

Following are some of the steps which could be done to control the problem of sweating through clothes:

Always wear light colored clothing as it would be less visible. Avoid wearing dark colored clothing, as it tends to absorb more heat and leads to perspiration.

Wear only loose clothing as this would allow the skin to breathe freely and will help in drying the sweat. Stick to cotton fabrics only and avoid fabrics such as silk, polyester etc. as this fabrics stick to the skin and does not allow the skin to breathe freely.

Using antiperspirant also helps in blocking the pores to sweat. Most people usually buy deodorant instead of antiperspirant, probably, because they are least aware of the fact that a deodorant only soothes the body odor but do not prevent sweating. So the next time you buy a body spray, read the labels and see if you are buying an antiperspirant or a deodorant.

If you sweat excessively regardless of the temperature and the products you are using to prevent from sweating is of no help, then its time you consult a doctor.

There is a possibility that you might be suffering from hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. Never hesitate to talk openly to your doctor or to your friends. For they might be having a solution which you might not have known. So unless you speak up no one is going to help.

Your diet should also be under control. Avoid eating too much of spicy foods as it tends to promote sweating. Just like the spicy foods, hot drinks also increase the metabolism of the body and results to sweating in an attempt to bring down the temperature of the body to normal. So best is to stick to drinking cold water as they keep the sweat cells under control.

Those who suffer from hyperhidrosis should avoid spa, sauna, hot bath, Jacuzzi etc. unless you want to relax and sweat.
